picked up a 250R, and don't know much about it.. here is the vin if someone can fill me in

the year plate is torn off.. so anything,

please let me know all you can get

im a lil confused as to it being a 2 stroke yet there is an oil slot?

For anyone interested, one easy way to tell what year a Honda is....check the TENTH digit in the vin.

1980=A

1981=B

1982=C

and so on.

1990=0

1991=1

1992=2

and so on.

You should do some reading.

A Factory Honda Service Manual will give you a great understanding of how your new ride works.

The transmission still needs oil as it is not lubed by the premix. I usually ran 4-stroke oil or ATF Type F fluid in my pinger gearboxes

i always ran shell rotella in mine. its a synthetic oil, but is safe for the wet clutch. just look at the back of the bottle. if it says energy saving or energy conserving, its not good for a wet clutch
