I have a 250es speedo and the transmission down on the wheel is hurt....the little piece of steel that looks like a screwdriver tip that spins the cable is snapped off . I have the piece and removed the little screw in the bottom side of the transmission and removed the cap off the bottom and tried pulling it out so i could weld it but no luck...anyone have any good suggestions ?:(

There is a internal snap ring to remove and then it will basically fall apart. Kinda tricky getting it out,,,,
This thread I posted shows all the innards. Good luck, john

Oh,,, sounds like it has been on the axle a long time Eric. It is supposed to slide off the axle so yours will take some lubing and some tapping by the sounds of it to get worked off the axle.
Once you get it off you will need to work the rubber seal off to exspose the snap ring. Take your time on removing from axle + then double extra time working off the rubber sealing thingy. That rubber sealing thingy is what is up against the hub right now so I don't suppose you can see it on yous.
