Since we can't post in the restricted areas... yet. I'll start here.

Note: 1st 250R, '85, picked up in decent, stock condition about 45 days ago. Not a factory piece of plastic on it, except the tank, but otherwise a runner and complete. Coming changes as follows...

Painted my faded, red to pink, eeeeeewww.... desert tank. Used plasti-dip as recommended on another dirt bike site. Went with white, since I was born on an '83 200x. I'll let you know how it holds up... I have serious doubts about paint of any type on plastic. Stock tank, only stock plastic left, is good, but planning to journey this summer in the Idaho panhandle, so fuel is a must!

Put a final, for now, scrub on my slightly rusted FMF Gold series header pipe, ain't gold anymore though....

Checked shipping on recently purchased:
Twist throttlle kit
FMF spark arrester
Boysen reeds

Otherwise I just oogle at it in the garage... I'll start teardown once I get enough parts together. For the time being it's turn-key, and the neighbors haven't turned me in for roostin' the field at the end of my street.... YET!

Started tearing into the RD trike, want to remove the shock, I notice after some cleaning its pretty pimp looking chrome air shock. Getting it out is proving difficult tho as its socket head on the side behind the brake rotor and I haven't managed to get the caliper apart, ugh.

Finished the top end rebuild on my 1985 250es; including new piston (2nd oversize), new valves, timing chain and guides. By "finished" I mean the assembly, not the starting of the engine. Hopefully that will come soon. I also found a local place that said they could repair the rusty gas tank corners so I won't have to buy a plastic one.

spark arrester/silencer showed up yesterday.. been busy at work, need to order some seals and gaskets to compliment my parts.... I'll throw in some pics soon, but won't be anything spectacular.

On my 85 350x, I need to replace the axle bearings and clutch perch. Maybe this weekend, maybe not. Then it's ride, ride, ride!
