One posted on CL in Michigan not too far from me last year..seller's asking was $800 and he listed it as an 85 because he just didn't know.

I saw the add at 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday and he'd posted it sometime over the night..I called him right away and told him I was on my way with his asking price in hand then jumped in my truck and took off..

It started great, rode nice and looked as good as the pics on the listing suggested..I slapped the $800 in his hand and drove away grinning!

I wouldn't say they are RARE, but the production numbers are way lower than the 85 and 86 years so they are a bit uncommon.

I texted the seller about the 500$ SX a while back and was told no issues, runs good with no smoke, just cosmetic. Tempted but I thought I better not bring home another trike for a while if you know what I mean!
Still lots of bang for the buck.

How difficult would it be to put a 2stroke motor in one?

I don't know of any shaft drive 2-strokes.

I think polaris have a couple 2 stroke shaft drive engines but you would have to make a whole new rear end and make it chain drive for most 2 stroke engines
