I have a storey that I thought is worth sharing and maybe someone might know them or seen this email.

So I get in from work last night and got a email from a guy looking to sell a 350x. I posted a local ad looking for a 350x in any shape. I buy parts off guys on here in hopes to own one of these machines. So I respond to his reply within 5 min he has a guy on his way with 1800.

Within 27min from his first reply he jumped from 400 to 1800 and it was sold. I will post his line of BS and you tell me what you guys think?

Thought I'd share my 2 cents. Anyway here's the reply to my ad I got last night.

His email is eron1@live.ca. He response with a name bill and the second email comes up with a name Aaron, hope it's not anyone off of here

Sounds like the regular BS that happens on Craigslist with 80 percent of the ads I respond to. If its not that its someone contacting me and wanting me to shopp what I am selling to somewhere in the country and take half the money from a money order and forward the rest. People are shady these days.

People are nuts. I posted a want ad for a P3. Some guy emailed me and said he had 3 sitting in his garage. I said "are you serious". He said yes. So I asked him how much, and he said, well let me go ask my sons, because they are their toys.

So he emails me back and says two of his sons don't want to sell, and the 3rd son wants to trade it for another 4 wheeler.

I refrained from yelling at him for getting my juices flowing, for fear that he might be an old man living alone.

who knows what people are thinking at times.

guy probably got responses from other interested buyers and the price went up. Not the right way to do business but he probably has no real idea about what a bike like that was worth before listing it. sucks for all parties!

usually its guys from out of town calling the seller and spilling the beans about what the bike's worth.

I`ve had that exact thing happen to me with a 71 triumph Bonneville I was going to buy. Guy told me the price ($300 for whole basket case with title), told him I would run to the house and hit the petty cash box and BRB (forty minutes there and back). It was a Wednesday. He says "naw don`t worry about getting right back here because I have to drag it out of the barn. Come get it Friday. I`ll hold it." (he owned two MC salvage yards up in Indy so I knew it was deep in the pile somewhere. didn`t sound like a lie at all. he also says "I`m gonna need a week to find the title though"........well I show up on Friday, he says "you`re too late. Sold it to a guy that night. He already picked it up. First come, fiorst served"........I told the guy to go f himself....two weeks later the same basket case shows up at a local swap meet. I knew the dude selling it so I said "hey man, this bike looks familiar" he says "yeah I got it from Preston. Some guy was in there couple weeks ago and I heard Preston tell him $300 when I was back in the stockroom so after he left I offered him $750 to sell it to me so he did. HAHAHAHA."
