I'm trying to piece an 85 250r together but seem to be missing the front brake caliper. Is there any other machines where the caliper will interchange or am I stuck looking for an 85/86 atc specific caliper. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Compare part numbers on the front calipers of the similar year cr's. I will look at my cr later today and compare the two.

I believe you can use the 350X front caliper. One year 350X has a flat caliper and the other is finned. You probably have to use the "R" mounting bracket.

Please let someone confirm that as I haven't been building much lately.

Also, if you post in classifieds I'm sure you can find one. Kasey may be willing to part with one of his and he has nice parts from over on the West coast......

Yes, a 350x caliper will bolt up and work. My brother is using a 3rd gen R caliper on his 350x as we speak. So, if the R caliper works on his X, then the other way around will work.

I can't say if there are or there are not any other models of wheelers or bikes that will work.
