It should be sweet when it is done, especially if you have the stock dual low exhaust and aluminum fenders. Please don't be stingy with the pictures... I love the old Hondas and I own over half a dozen of them myself.

You do nice work. You could eat off of that motor! I have a neat old 1973 CB450k6 that I hope to restore in the not too distant future. Keep the pics coming, please and thank you!

Thank you. my dad always said "if its worth doing, its worth doing right." He also said "I'm gonna beat your ass if you leave my tools laying out in the yard when your done working on your skateboard" but that seems kinda irrelevant ;) I will be working on the bike tomorrow I will be putting it all back together. so mid week I should have pics of a completed bike.takes me roughly a week and a half to totally restore a bike that includes tear down cleaning blasting prep paint rebuild and assembly.

The original motor mounts for the top were missing so I too some flat stock and the top and bottom mounts for a mountain bike shock and made some. Don't judge my welds too harsh they look kinda crappy as they were done with a modified squarewave tig... 191264191265

Got a bit done today. 191266191267191268191269191270191271 I have 6 of these bikes 5 of which are tore apart and all pieces are mixed together so its a pain figuring out which pieces are from the '70 and then cleaning painting and polishing so its going slower but the bike will be done this week.

Looking awesome bro! So I don't know chit about these bikes,,,, is this a resto-mod or is this what they look like stock? I like the silver frame with the body color., and is the steering stabilizer a stock part? It looks to be.

Are you going Cafe with it? Sorry if I missed any of this info in the posts above

nope gonna be stock this is a restoration. These bikes fetch top dollar if they are unmolested. I may turn one of em into a café racer though. I bought nos pistons from the 70's nos pain, nos decals lol yeah steering stabilizer is stock but I rebuilt it it serves as the mount for the hornthe coils and the ignition on the other side of the bike. The only thing that is not oem on this bike are the two motor mounts I made that are on page one of the build I took pics of em.

The sl looks FANTASTIC BRO!!!!!! Thank you for restoring (i do not use this term loosely) a classic motorcycle:Bounce

The X actually looks good with those cut up white fenders.

lokisbuddy

nope haven't ridden it. Thanks for those fenders bro I am gonna take the red set and cut a 200x logo out of them then put lexan behind it with blue led lights for night time riding :) I will not put even one mile on that bike. gonna sell it if I ride it I might want to keep it.;)
