View Full Version : Update on my 85 200x engine
well i have the engine in a box and its goin in today to be fixed for the 10 bucks an hour deal so ill have time to clean up the frame a little more and get a few nuts and bolts. I know this has been on the forum on mopre then one occasion... but whats one more? :-D .. can someone tell me the best way to bleed the brakes?....i also need to replace a broken bold on the resivour(sp).. so ill need to take that clear plastic peice off.. so im just wondering the esayest way to bleed the brakes out... someone plz save me a head ach

make sure theres always brake fluid in the resevoir, push the pedal down about 10-15 times, hold it down with some pressure and loosen the bleeder bolt (8mm) wait for the air or fluid to come out, when its done, tighten it back up and push the pedal down 10-15 more times, and repeat procedure, you should feel a difference in the pedal (it should be easy to push when first bleeding, but get stiff after a while) thats when you know your brakes work! all i did was held my right foot on the brake and lean over the fenders and tightened and loosened the bleeder nut...1 man job for me!
