Get a lifan 125. look it up, people use it all the time in atc 70s.

im 3 days from being the proud owner of a 140 powered 70. Therefore the 140 is best.
i have seen a lot of people argue the 125's are perfect for these bikes. Good combo of power thats usable. I heard the 140's are just too much of a handful. Personally i think that someone my size will be like a smaller person rocking a 125 powered 70 since I'm 6 ft 240lbs. 125 is probably perfect for 90% of the board upping the ante with their 70's

Eh. the 125 would be ok to impress your friends that have never ridden a mini. If you want a seat of the pants ride get a YX Based 150 or 160. have a 150 and it makes my butt pucker more than my tecate 500.

184cc in a atc70 is way too much. I would go with the 140. If the motor is too much you can calm it down with a smaller carb and smaller exhaust. If you plan on running you stock exhaust go with the 125 the 140 will not run good at all.

id say just build your Honda motor or even buy a 84 85 125m motor and mount one of those id say you would have a better engine than any Chinese engine. However I saw this motor called the Daytona Anima FDX-190cc and it looks like a beast its on this site. http://www.hondaatc70.com/Pages/Engines.aspx
Has anyone ever ran the yx 90 with the 114 big bore kit?

I just bought a Lifan 125 for my 70 project. Tbolt has them on sale right now for $299 shipped! Couldn't pass it up and these little china motors are pretty tough. I had a 50cc lifan pitbike and rode the holy piss outta it for years and it just kept on chugging.

I bought this one, just needed a clutch cable http://www.ebay.com/itm/220823900468?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITand exhaust http://www.ebay.com/itm/140917788416?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. The exhaust just needed a little bending around the front of the seat area. Added a twist throttle that I had here, some 200sx handlebars and an atc 110 foot pegs and upper fork plate. BAM!
Do they come with with the harness, carb and all? And what type of pipe did you go with, my dad used a trx 90 but I hear a lot of people using the xr 50 pipe.

Mine did. You need a clutch cable, throttle cable and POD air filter to complete. You can use stock exhaust but they are restrictive. Most pit bike or crf50 exhaust will work with a little persuading.

Just make sure its the honda style lifan 125, not the gy6. Well, you could use a gy6, but it won't be as easy to adapt, plus they dont look right on there.
