So i recently got a 1984 kxt250 tecate and while i was riding it i noticed it was leaking a lot of gas out of the cap. After i took the cap off i realized it was missing the gasket. Does anyone know where to get a gasket for cheap. I checked all of the regular sites like bikebandit and stuff but they were all unavailable. If anyone knows where to get one cheap let me know thanks. Also i checked ebay and the cheapest i could find was for $15 which is expensive.

If you cant find one, ill mail you my old gas cap for free. I picked up a clarke tank with a new cap recently. If 15.00 seems too expensive you may be in for a shock when it comes time to bore up to the next piston size.

I think it is expensive for just a piece of rubber.

Try a Banshee part. I have a Banshee cap on my red Tecate. Or Blaster or Warrior or some other Yamaha piece. They all work.
It's actually a Blaster cap and I paid $6 for it shipped (eBay).

I just looked at my old oem cap and it's missing the gasket all together. I'd try the Banshee cap alternative as suggested. Sorry I could not help.

Go to the auto parts store and buy a roll of the thick gasket material for 5 bucks and cut one out.
