this is not really about trike but i figure you guys with 2 stroke trikes can maybe help me.
well anyway i have a 1981 kx125 that i LOVE riding. its really a fun bike to just play around on. well anyway toward the end of last summer i had some problems with it. one day i was riding and it began to smoke (more that usual). i didnt pay attention to it. it started getting worse and worse until one day i couldnt start it. so the next day i go to kick it over (no choke) and again i cant get it started. check the plug and its dry so i turn on the choke and it starts on the first kick. smokes a little but not to bad then after a few seconds i turn off choke and it ideals down down then stops. WHAT THE HELL?? so go to kick it agian and BAM!!!! the bike backfires. This has never happened to me. for the next week i keep trying and the same thing keeps happening. i starting take of choke, it dies, then backfires and wont start. any body know whats going on hear? im lost. check the flywheel key and the timing is perfect.
