I think in 1982 you could get a red or a black decal, but i am not a hundred percent on this. BTW good question got me searching.

how much did the reeds help out on your 125 old-yellow and im going back with the ones for an 84 till I find some for an 82. all the ones in 82 I saw were black and 83 were red

honesty it only seem to help at lower end throttle response, but i also was changing out 30 year old metal reeds.

There are all kinds of reasons that your trike can take of slow so its kind of hard for me to say if the reeds will help you out, have you tried checking compression or checking to make sure the carburetor is clean and tuned properly? hows the air filter?

I have a new air filter coming the carb is clean is should be pretty close on adjustment and it starts first pull and seems the have quit a bit of compression but ive never put a gauge on it but I did order boyesen reeds for it for $30 I figure its worth a try. It just seems sluggish to get going but overall it runs good
