250sx is the left lever with reverse for the front or rear brakes?

My left lever with reverse cable came hooked up to the front brake as the right lever is snapped off and there is no rear brake cable. I went on ebay to buy a new right lever and rear cable and it looks like the lever on the left is supposed to be for the rear brakes.

That is correct. Left is rear, right is front. Someone swapped the cable from right to left so they'd have front brakes.

And, the left is actually the parking brake. Not that it can't/is not used to actually stop the bike.

Ok thank you. Funny thing is the front brakes don't even work. Maybe shoes are toast or cable is too stretched lol.
