I was bored so I figured I post and ask. What kind of different engines have you guys swapped into your 3 wheelers?
I got bored about two years ago in the winter and built a 3 wheeler of of a bunch of spare stuff I had laying around the garage. I had a jincheng cougar 100cc 2 stroke dirt bike that was totally beat up but the engine ran pretty good and an atc 110 frame. So I cut the engine cradle out of the dirt bike and fitted it into the 110 frame. Its really ruff but its a blast on slick surfaces with the lawn mower tires on it.... lol

The engine is a Chinese copy of a Suzuki and since its in a Honda we nick named it " HONDUKI ". The name has multiple meanings since it looks like crap.

Pretty cool, I have a tecate with a water buffalo engine in it but I'm not sure at this point if I will ever finish it. I figure it will be another 4k and I'm not sure it's worth it to run twice a year.it may get parted to fund other projects.

The only new part that I had to get for the HONDUKI was a clutch lever that was actually a back up for my kx125. Cost 15 bucks
Just ben, when you say "water buffalo" engine, are you referring to the GT750 engine? That would be sick....

กกก WATER BUFFALO!!! The Zook GT750 is a badass. My very first street bike in 89 was its little brother the Ram Air 380GT. I absolutely loved that bike and put nearly 11k on it the first yr I owned it. Sounded like a dirtbike, smoked like hell, but would stand straight up on its rear wheel at around four grand if you cracked into it. My buddies made fun of it until it ate their Interceptors for lunch. Great triple pingers Suzuki had. I think it was 250, 380, 550, and the 750 liquid cooled water buffalo in the GT lineup.
I hope you finish it, Ben

Actually I think this is really cool! Should be a fun little ride. It's funny you posted this up as I just started to mock up a build pretty much close to this,, only I will be using a atc 70 frame with custom lower frame to cradle a 84 cr 60 motor.. Stay tuned!!

It's actually a pretty low HP motor and is HEAVY. In stock form it was around 67hp, not very much for how heavy it is. I have the port maps and list of mods that will put it up around 150-160hp but like I said its a lot of money to spend to drag race it once or twice a year. Actually I found a 380 while looking for parts for my GT500 and can get it cheap. That may be a better power plant to play around with.

Most HP I've ever seen, heard OR read about in a gt750, with proof to back it up, is 130 at the crank, and that was a nationally competitive drag motor. Either I just haven't seen one or theres some wishful thinking, but if you can make 150+hp Ben, I hope you are building engines for BIG money these days....
I've done several engine swaps in to the 200x. 197cc OHV/OHC Lifans, OHC 199cc Zongshen, other Honda motors. Here's my latest ATC engine swap. 229cc TAO TAO pushrod with electric start and reverse.

Thinking of swapping one of my KV75 mills into one of my spare 110 chassis. Just to see if I can.
Does turning an ATC110 engine into basically a pull start SL90 engine count? The only things that are still ATC are the cases, crank/flywheel and cylinder

My original idea was to use an 80-81 air cooled CR80R engine. But the bike I had at the time was too nice to cut up. Think mini 250r. Ive a few other plans for some builds but most wouldn't be feasible. I have a 79 Suzuki gs750 engine I'd like to stuff into something but with time and money not being something I have a lot of it will go with my 77 gs750 if I sell it.
On another note I've though about finding a wrecked late model streetbike and building a drag trike out of it for trikefest one year but thats another one of them time/money things
I have an 82 CR125 sitting around back that I got JUST to trike. But the cranks blown and I can't get the damn swinger bolt out. Freakin Honda's and their damn swingarm bolts. I swear.
