Love him or hate him, he did have one of the "sickest" three wheelers ever made. I was fortunate to see the legendary Tiger formerly owned by Dr. Death in person a few weeks back, and it still looks as sick as it did years ago. Picked up this project last summer, been gathering parts since. Although this frame never made it out of the Tiger factory, it will soon realize its full potential. Thanks Bill K. For the great head start.

3rd gen Tiger's look sooooo good. I can't wait to see her all finished!! Is this just a 'bolt it together because it's all brand new' build or are you having to hunt stuff down?

Appreciate the kind words. The 125 is ready for assembly, with the exception of missing fork tubes. Here's a pic of frame since powder.

It's hard to say one of your bikes are cooler than another, but the 125 is my favorite. That being said, this 86 might give it a run for it's money. Does Jemco still make the Tiger pipes?

Jemco is still making 200/250 pipes from the original jig. Pretty cool considering its almost thirty years later!

Have to agree with you there, although the triples are a close 2nd! Saw you listed a few treasures on ebay, seems like its Tiger month. This should start to come together in the next few weeks, waiting on a few more parts (small powder parts, fork tubes, brake discs from Trizilla, and a repop Richter decal Blue27 is helping with).

The fork tubes came back yesterday, work was done by Electronic Chrome and Grinding. The forks ended up with them after Franks Maintenance and Engineering sent them back to me saying they could not reproduce them. Franks referred me to a company who after seeing pictures, referred me to ECG. They were pitted pretty deep in areas, couldn't be happier with the end result. Should be a roller soon!

Do you need upper or lower fork tubes for your cagiva ? I just may have a set ;-) And I agree, the 86 Tiger R3 is probably my most fav 3 wheeler of all time. Stunningly beautiful !!

Eric,
I have two complete sets, but if you by chance have a set of new tubes (upper) i would be interested. I will send you a pm with my number, may have a few parts if you need any for your build.

Made a little progress this week. As you can see from the pic below, the center mount shock poses a small clearance issue I had to address. The pic below is of Mr. Death's air cleaner.

Keep them coming Robert, Dr. Death says I need at least one a day to keep the saliva glands flowing.

I couldn't help but notice the upper bar on that bicycle in photo one. Dang that must have hurt to bend it like that!

Finished the silencer restore yesterday. Not a huge deal, but satisfying nonetheless. From talking with other Tiger owners over the years, it seems they never used the same silencer on every bike(imagine that). It seems they used J&R silencers most of the time, but if you look closely at the pics of the R3 below you see the Richter silencer.

Big thanks to Bruce (Blue27) for the Repo Richter decal. I sent him only a picture to go off of, couldn't be happier with his efforts. Anyone looking for decals should reach out to him, you won't be disappointed.

Little more progress the past few weeks. Got the radiators mounted, coolant hoses installed, fuel lines installed, front fender mounted, and started re-assembly of forks. Should be standing on its own this weekend.

Be careful with your MTB hanging upside down. I ruined my front shocks that way.

Your bike looks awesome!!!!!
