86 200x rear shock

Has anybody run a needle bearing conversion on the bottom eyelet as opposed to the stock bushing and reducer? Perhaps on a different bike or such..any opinions? Thanks mucho in advance.

I would think a bushing would take the abuse much better a needle bearing is fragile and the first hard smack it done !

I was thinking the same thing..I voiced my concern to schmidty racing as well and was informed that somehow its superior to the stock setup..but I wouldnt know how..apparently its a common "upgrade" on other bikes. Im a little suspicious myself.
