The top end is off. Jug severely rusted. Piston showed an extreme heat seizure...

It came with Boyesen reeds, a 28mm carb (blaster), and an aftermarket pipe. I dunno the brand of pipe, the label is missing.

I've taken some fine looking copper/steel wool with a drill to the cylinder. It cleaned up to an almost runable state. The only problem is that there's a small amount of piston stuck to the cylinder wall. I've attached a shoot of the piston.

Any ideas how to remove the piston remains?

muratic acid but be very careful, it will destroy the aluminum of the cylinder, you just want to dab it on the steel liner where the piston aluminum is.

I put a little bit of muratic acid on a cotton swab and rubbed it on all the spots where I melted the piston in my sled.

And this is the reason I love this forum. Muratic Acid work wonders. I got the engine built. Just finished getting the pipe on. Some one was kind enough to put a big dent in this pipe. right on the fattest part. It'll be fun popping this 1 out. I'll be going for a test fire tomorrow.

Has good spark.

It turns out that the carb is not off a blaster. It's got a shorter slide. The needle was missing on the slide. I stuck a blaster 1 in it lol. Both at 28mm, the bottom of the slide were the needle comes out looks to be about the same. The cut away in the slide has a more dramatic cut away. I dunno if that's good or bad. What i do know is, that it will run tomorrow :)

As for the pipe. I believe it is a Bassani. It looks similar to some pics that Veal put up some years back. I wounder how it compares to my home brew pipe from back then.

Came home during lunch and added gas to it. After a few pulls, it fired right up ! :)

The crank case had a ton of oil in during assembly. Possible tranny seal is out.

It ran for a few minutes and died, smoked like the best mosquito fogger I've seen since the oil burning atc90 we had.

After work, clean plug, ride to burn that oil out.

I am a little concerned about the jetting. It's a 28mm carb with a 170 main (minuki round slide). 170 i the stock jet on carb... Once it's not moking the backyard out, I'll get it resolved.

I'll have to get pics. It's got the fresh of the showroom floor(a black ally) black spray bomb finish with the weathered/chipping paint look (for character). It's got about 15 HP more than expected. I believe this is directly realted to the iron cross stickers and the tribal tattoo looking stickers. The left side of the fender has a battle scare that goes from the bottom of the fender about midway up. This would require stiches if i didn't have a replacement for it.

I rode the YT around. Towed a couple riding lawn mowers around for fun.

It has to have a bad oil seal going to the transmission. I ran it hard, and after the oil cleared out, it ran great!... for about 10 seconds, then the oil start filling up the bottom end again. Well, my 125 needs a seal on the output shaft, this needs a oil seal going to the transmission... Any one know where I can buy a seal kit? All i see on flee bay is individual seals.
