Black & Sooty Plug..

I just got my 200X put back together and now it seems to run rich. I have upped the compression and installed a new cam, New valve springs, and a 26mm carb. I have maybe put about 30min of running time on the mtotor and went to look at the plug. I was jet black and sooty. I this a main jet problem or fuel air? Thanks for the help

Make sure the choke is not stuck on. If its not, what are the symtoms of the trike when you run it. Does it take off fine and start to pop, does it bog, horrible top or low end speed, etc.

The choke is not stuck on. That was the frist thing I checked. As far as how it is running. I thought it was running OK but I guess not. I seems to run fine on the bottom end. I really cant run it too hard until it is all broken in. But is blows black smoke while accelarting(sp?). I guess it seems sluggish from the mid to top end....Thanks for the help.

I wouldnt touch a thing until its broken in, and you can drive it in your normal driving style. THEN pop in a clean plug and you can start doing some plug checks, and setup carb.
