Can't even compare them, a 250r is a 2 stroke sport machine and a 250sx is a 4 stroke sport utility bike. Just depends on what you want to do.

Brett?, no.

Stock for Stock the 250R is faster. The SX is a four stroke sport bike. The 250R is an out of the box two stroke racing machine.

Hey jake. They're both Hondas. They both have three wheels. Really, they're not the same animals at all.

What kind of riding do you plan on doing with your atc and on what terrain?

250r compared to 250sx is like comparing Ford Mustang to a Ford Bronco.or Corvette to Blazer.

in my opinion, which ever one is cheaper or needs the least amount of work is the better of the two. that said, if you wanna race and love going really fast, then get the R if you wanna ride trails and / or dunes and maybe even on a track (but not professionally) then get the SX. if you have a place to open her up and fly along, the R might be better, if you are in a cramped space and need more low end power, the SX might be the one. either bike is great, its all up to you.

Thanks man. I got an 82 R, but didn't really know the diff between the models. Thanks for the great info.
