Hi all .
I've had an Atc 70 for years now that we play on and the kids do (I'm 40 ) I also have a 1980's Honda z50r which is mint . Had that for years too . Picked up a Honda 1988 Africa twin too last year , a beast and yet to use properly .. But my latest toy is a 1982 atc285s . Pretty good condition , the guy told me he did the rings and a top end gasket set which I believe as they are like new.. But I'm sure he's just put new rings on a worn piston and barrel so it still oils the plug bad and needs cleaning all the time . I'm going to strip it down rebore over size piston , with new stem seals too and again a new gasket set . This should sort the old girl out in thinking .
I take it I have to remove the engine to take the barrel and head off as it looks very tight .
Here's a pic of the old girl .
I'm wanting to attach a rear rack to take a sprayer but they are like rocking horse pooh over here . Might have to fab one up from a quad if I can't find one ..
Great forum and look forward to having a good nosey through the posts,
Cheers Rupert
