I picked up a pretty decent ytm 200 for 200$ the other day. Only problem is it won't move. It goes through every gear, the shifter is a little sloppy. With that being said I tried doing a clutch adjustment but the bolt just bottomed out. I pulled the cover off the motor to find that the spring on the clutch adjuster arm is nonexistent (shift guide spring). I inspected the primary clutch and its beat up but nothing like my ytm 225 and that one still moves. My question is, is that spring being MIA causing my problem or is there more to it?

could be the shaft, if its shaft drive, a chain drive model would be obvious. those are great bikes, especially if the have 25 inch tires on them one of my favorite trikes ive owned

What do you mean it bottomed out? The clutch adjustment is to LOOSEN the slotted bolt till it stops, then turn it in just a tiny bit to create free play, then lock it.

Its chain driven... what I was getting at with saying it bottomed out is that I could turn it in and out all the way w no tension. Regardless ill be replacing the missing spring. I was just wondering if it was possible that the spring missing could cause the bike to not move. Also here are some pics of my primary. Give me your thoughts, thanks 201896201897201898201899
