Arizona Off Road Promotions = 3 Wheeler Desert Race

On November 15, 2014 AZOP will be hosting a desert race near the town of Gila Bend, Az. The terrain of this race course will be very similar to the desert baja races - sandy washes, rocky trails, long woop sections, silt beds, loong fast straight aways and twisting desert trails. The race will last approximately 1 hour and there will be a class for 3 wheelers. These challenging races are rare & especially rare with a 3 wheeler class. All racers will be given transponders to wear, which will make comparing the 3 wheeler times with quad & motorcycle class times easy to compare. TRIKES ARE THE ORIGINAL ATV KING OF THE DESERT - Great chance to prove that quads have an extra wheel that just slows them down!

Glad it's appreciated. Trust me, between Billy and I, we have some really cool stuff coming to the forum and awesome stuff going on in the trike scene. You guys definitely will not be bored this winter! Most of the big stuff you see here is cross posted between sites so you won't miss anything. If anything, the FB stuff is more interactive than informational. Our goal is to keep you guys updated with some of the latest news in the three wheeler world.

After 3 laps of the brutal desert race course the #63 Trike of Tom Decrescente had a race time of 23:29 & the 2nd place rider in the Expert Quad class had a time of 23:45. Looks like it has been proven again, 3 Wheelers can be faster than quads. Great racing Tom!

Honestly I didnt realize I was making that good of time Dave. Alls I knew was I was reeling in quads and the trikes were coming up behind me.

My 1st dealings with silt traps was a learning process. Now I know how to prep the trike for this. Would of been nice to complete the race. Its was really cool to watch for a change and pit for my teammate. Dave, Paul and Tim worked hard for the podium and deserve major kudos for a fine finish to a really tough race. You can bet we got some respect from the quad guys out there. They had a major head start on us and we passed plenty of them.

Really fun and I will do it again.

I saw Eds spark plug. It got nasty from burning silt. His trike crapped out. My spark plug looked the same. The gap on mine grew closed from burning silt. My trike is running good now just with a clean air filter and new plug.
