I hav 84 250r atc last bore 72mm. 32mm mikuni carb. Stock exhaust. 32:1 gas plug NGk br9es gapped right. 27.5 pilot needle on leanest clip. Air screw 2 turns out. Stock air box with new moose filter
I hav been jetting for 3 weeks can't get it just right. From what I've seen main jets should be around 135-155 all things considered. I liv in Missouri . Weather is like 75 right now. It seemed that of all my jetting trial and errors at WOT it liked 155 main jet with 20:1 ratio gas but it would still sputter in the needle range no matter if it was on leanest clip and I would foul plugs. Finally got pilot circuit right with 27.5 pilot. Which seems weird most people do fine with 35 or 30 or 32.5 but most don't hav 32mm carb either. But basically after going through 145-150-155-160 main jets. All clip positions, and 35-32.5-27.5 pilot jet here is where I'm at pilot jet 27.5 with air screw 2 turns out(good), needle on leanest clip (still sputtering 1/4 or so throttle not good acting if too rich) , and 160 main ( not good acting like lean with WOT). Float height at 18.5mm. So I guess my next step is to move up to a 165 main jet. Does that seam normal? To me that seems to big of main jet? It seems I can't really find many people with 32 mm mikuni maybe that's why jetting is little weird compared to others? I hav not preformed a leak down test since rebuild. I did all the proper break n cycles and retourqued everything. I would just think that if I had a air leak that would cause it to be lean and I've been pretty much rich all at lower end and only lean at top end. I guess next step is 165 main?
