I am really confused how all the trail systems link up in your part of the state. 1 we wanna ride on dirt, sand, gravel and some paved is OK trails not all paved like Marquette county for a change. 2 we are coming from Ripon Wisconsin and like to had west via HWY 23,21,73 or as needed way to get us in the vicinity. To day we went to Nekoosa to Pumpkin fest and on the way back to Wautoma on 73 we checked out some of the ATV routs there all on paved roads there. Where the heck can we drive to and leave off?

Don't have a whole lot of experience with central wisconsin. There were some around wausau and tomahawk areas I rode as a kid. And for sure florence county has miles of shared snowmobile/atv tails. I get lost for 3-4 hours every summer out there. And the scenery on the trails is awesome. Also tons of bars and restaurants. Can ride into town on atv as well and get gas.

Are you set on riding in central Wisconsin? There are so many great places to ride within 2-4 hours of you. Marinette County has enough miles to never cross the same trail twice in a day, plus you can get into the U.P. from there. Oconto County links up with Marinette now. All Wisconsin atv riders should ride the Langlade/Lincoln/Oneida County trails. I ride these trails every weekend and don't think you can find more picturesque trails in the state. The terrain is hilly to sandy to rocky. You definetly need good skid plates though.
