What's that tank beside the exhaust

I hope you didn't drill your frame to save tiny amounts of weight.........

i think in another thread he mentioned adding an aux fuel tank because the bike's a duner and the reduced capacity of the custom aluminum top tank doesnt work well for long dune rides.

Aux. fuel tank, holds one gallon of fuel.

Thats what all the cool kids were doing in the early days, before chromoly frames and aluminum parts were availible.

Why not? Race vehicles go so far as to have hollow bolt heads just to save tiny amounts of weight. Weight savings is a comprehensive strategy, therefore the focus is not on the individual tricks to save, but the overall goal and result. They are called 'lightening' or 'speed' holes for a reason.
Lord tell me hot rodding is not dying....

Not to drive this thread off topic but is there someone that makes top mount fuel tanks? How would I go about getting one?

only one I know of is Rob Mosh's friend who made the top mount tank on the bud light tri-z. Work is second to none. Good Luck though because from what I hear this guy is super busy and I believe the tanks are approx 800 clams.

How would I go about getting one?I got this one from a salvage yard that was advertised it the back of old dirt wheels mag in early the earl 90s. I paid $35.00 for it. I havent seen a nother one in person since....not sure a lot of them were made.

I think he made 4...far as I know he probably won't make any more.
