Hello all!

My recent purchase (900.00!) ; I've been trying to revive this relic.. new brakes, brake cables, brake perch, ...etc.. BUT, today after an oil change, I notice oil leaking out from what it seems the right clutch cover, and/or underneath near the engine seam (see pics).. Is it work tearing apart, or is it hard to do? I may want to get a better engine, or sale the trike to TRY to get my money back on it!.. It also has the "free clutch" whine after shutting it off.. What do you guys suggest for me? I love to restore a trike, but this one may be too much work/money.. thanks!!

edit** - actually I can't load any pics.. it keeps failing.. Basically, oil is leaking from bottom screw of clutch cover, and really looks like its leaking at the engine seam underneath the engine.. lots of oil actually..

what you need to do is wash it off then spray it with baby powder while still damp, and either run it if that is when you think it is leaking or leave it sit over night. then you will know where it is leaking from as the oil will leave a clean path on it's travels. you can get new one way clutch bearings fairly cheap, and if it is just gaskets that are leaking, not a very expensive fix, make sure to download yourself a copy of the repair manual from the provided link, and buy yourself an impact screw driver, manual ones are about 15$ from napa parts stores, you will know it's blessing when you start removing the pan head screws. http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

You sure you have a leak? Or is that old oil that dripped down when you changed it. Its happened to me before. I would clean it all off and then run it and see if the leak comes back. If so then there's something wrong, if not then your fine.
