please help, 85r

so i just recently purchased douglas wheels for my 85r. got them all mounted up and went to put the front tire on and the bolt pattern didn't line up??? called up douglas and told them the bolt pattern i have is 4x190 and they sent me 4x17-. i then found out that the hub on the front of mine is off an 83-84 model so i ordered the correct hub off ebay.

my question is, will the axel that was being used on the 83-84 hub work for the 85-86 hub on its way? thanks sam

They are different.

Your better off just ordering the front hardware as well such as the bearings, seals, brake pads along with the axle so your not second guessing whether everything is right or not but that's just me as there's no help for miles in Glamis when you break down. Any pics of the trike?

I was riding glamis every weekend back in the 80's. Leave at 4 am and would not come home until 8 or 9 pm. We would load up toyota mini trucks and put 3 to 4 3 wheelers in each of them and a drum of gas! These days it would be illegal to drive down the road like that!

Ahh the good ol' days! Granted i was only 8 by the end of the 80's but still... Growing up/ life in general in the 80's vs today? night and day difference.. But anyways, I will ride at glamis one day!! At least i have the Oregon dunes to keep me happy until then!!
