How important are pipe springs ('85 250R)?

I have lost one of my pipe springs on my '85 250R. How important is it to have both of them? They're not stock...I've come to find out. They're 95mm springs. What's the damage in only running one of two...at least for break in heat cycles or plug chops?

Its probably fine - just run the risk of the pipe being looser and possibly coming off. Hardware store will find something suitable for you - I've safety wired mine as a band-aid before.
