I was wondering if anyone had tried to use a set of KX250 radiators on an 86 Tecate, the only reference I could find to this said they looked similar but that one set or the other was to tweaked to tell for sure. My Tecate set is in rougher shape than I originally thought and now I'm kinda wishing I had bought another nice set when I had the chance, but when I was looking around there are some nice after market ones available for the kx250.

If no one responds, try cross referencing part #'s on a Kawasaki parts fiche. If you get a match you're good to go.

Ok just ben, well I am interested when it gets done. Until then I guess I will make due unless someone chimes in with some more info.

I have parted out 86 KX and KXT and have a couple sets of them lying around. In my opinion they are the same. I have compared them and noticed no major difference. Not sure if I posted that in the parts swap thread here:

Wait I just noticed you didnt mention a year of KX250. The 1986 KX250 radiators are all I know, most likely the 1989-2004 are different.

I have radiators for sale and they really dont sell for that much on ebay so they are not expensive to replace.

Thanks nd4speed, I also found brand new aluminum ones like the kx250 ones you listed but made for the 86 Tecate this week for the first time. I'm probably going to get a set soon.
