Interesting. Still I'd like to see Vin numbers. The top triple clamps were aluminum (unpainted) in '85. These look like '85 top triples. No keyed ignition. Seat cover and fenders are aftermarket.

Decal is interesting. Are these on Ebay? Could the owner have laid this on the frame to get more interest?

Hmmmm....

I just looked at my '85 and '86 350X's. On the '85 there is a tab that holds the clutch cable in place right on this little metal air duct we see in the picture with the '87 decal. By '86 they had re-routed the cable so there was no tab on the air duct. I am assuming they did NOT go back to the '85 routing in '87.

To me this looks like an '85 (top triples not painted), clutch routing tab on the air duct, etc...

first thing I saw was the clutch cable route,,, its an 85,,,,, no oem plastic , and a goofy extended swinger

...85 all the way. As stated above, the clutch cable route as well as the triple trees also give it away. Both silver and no holes in the steering stops for the plastic cover.
