Gas mist blowing through carb

I've been having problems with my 87 KXT 250 running rich and fouling plugs. I've rebuil the carb and the engine. This problem just started to happen all of a sudden. I was just running the engine with no air filter/ air box and noticed alot of fuel coming back through the throat of the carb. Is this normal?

sounds to me like your reeds are shot. maybe someone else can confirm this. ---Joe 8)

yup the reedd are done man replce them and it should help out alot sualy the trick is to hold a piece of paper orund the opening of the carb and if it gets soaked then it meens your reeds are done.

Yeah, you shouldnt have anything blowing back through the carb, this is what reeds are there for, replace them, and your bike should run the way it is supposed to, should.
