Hi everyone. I'm seeking a replacement choke plunger for an '86 Honda VT700 Shadow. Its discontinued from Honda, so I'm wondering if any other Keihins used the same piece or a similar one. I know the 250SX carbs have a similar arrangement. If anyone has a carb apart and wouldn't mind measuring this for me, I'd appreciate it. Here's a pic of the good one I have, with measurements.

With your measurements someone at Sudco should be able to help you. Great guys, give them a call, West coast time.

This kit should work .
When I look up vt700 choke plunger for all years it doesn't show the nipple on the end of the plunger just a flat plunger so are you sure that your carbs aren't off a vt800 ?

The part number I'm looking for is 16046-MG7-731, which according to partzilla only fits the '86 vt700c-a and vt700c-ac. But, I know sometimes Honda has multiple numbers that will interchange.
The links you posted shortline look good, but my fear is that I'll shell out $46 and have one that won't fit. If I can't find a measurement, I found a couple choke cables with the plungers still attached from later VT's that are cheaper, I will probably try one of those.
Thanks everyone for chiming in!

If all else fails make the call to Sudco. If you're not in a rush they may let you mail it in to be matched up.

I will definitely keep them in mind. I know about them, but for some reason I didn't even think of them until you mentioned it. Thanks!
