Hey everyone,
Well I was searching around the classified ads, and found this GEM.... a 1987 HONDA ATC BIG RED 250ES..... The bike has a history and very low hours. It belonged to the State of Georgia's Department of Wildlife. I guess the state purchased a bunch of these in 1987 and then when banned, it sat in a warehouse for 20+ years... finally someone that liked turning a profit off of the State auctions bought it and sold it to the guy I got it from.... He bought the machine and said he had only put 5-10 hours on it in the time that he owned it. It still has the state stickers on it and chalk marks from the auction house.... he kept it under cover as well and Never even washed it!!! This is the Newest (in years) three wheeler I have ever had the opportunity to own... I brought it home and cleaned it up a bit.... there are still a few things that need to be done... It needs new grips, a new rear hand brake cable, and it needs the tank and carb cleaned. The gentleman I purchased it from said he bought new tires for it, had the seat cover re-covered, and put a light bulb in the headlight. Needless to say the wife is extremely happy with it and in turn, starts out a good year for everyone in my household!!!
