ok, i just spent about an hour reading through some threads. i did not find a clear answer....so here goes.
are there any rear masters that bolt right up and work with no mods? if so, which ones?
if not, what will work and what needs to be done to it?? seems to me there should be a cheaper way than waiting to spend a 100 bucks or more on ebay if they show up there....
heres a progress pick of my first build...207289

A good option is an '85 -'86 250r rear master. The only thing you have to do is take a drill and remove the internal threads on the cyl mount. The 350x is threaded into the frame so you just need to remove the threads from 250r cyl to create the clearance for the bolts, the bolt centerline is the same. The 250r cylinders are more available and you can get the rebuild kits for them, where as the 350x not so much. You will have to use the push rod from the 350x cyl. I have heard of people using the rear master off a YFZ 450, that way you can even get rid of the fluid rezzi too, but I have yet to try that.
I think "weezy" is thinking about the front CALIPER from a cr 80, not the master.

Well that's good to know bob marlin. Yfz option is interesting but I don't want to damage the powder coat to mod the frame. Anyone know if it bolts up?
