When I got my 350x it had a full DG chrome exhaust system. It looked cool but it is stupidly loud. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a nice loud exhaust but man this thing was obnoxiously loud. I left it on and figured if I come across a different setup I would swap it out. Well I scored a yamaha warrior frame with a 350x engine bolted in with a nice condition supertrapp on it! I finally got around to painting the pipe and ordered up 12 new 4" disks as the supertrapp only came with 4. I made a quick and dirty video of a back to back comparison of sound of the DG chrome pipe followed by the supertrapp.

Please disregard my 1st to 2nd shift miss...it was lightly misting and my foot must have slipped...

The supertrapp with 16 disks in it is nice and loud but much more bearable compared to the DG. It also felt more snappy and responsive with the supertrapp. I left the DG header on, all the heated debates I read about comparing aftermarket headers to stock really didn't leave me with a solid conclusion, plus I'm lazy and didn't feel like swapping in the stock header anyways. The supertrapp pipe slid right on the DG header without any issues.

From the video they sound similar at idle but you can definitely tell a big difference when at speed the Supertrapp is much quieter
