the man selling it wants $300. it has two new tires and the axle is not bent at all and claims that it runs well.
is it worth it and could i get that back if i sold it?

Only you can decide the worth of something, but I'd say you have a good deal on your hands. Good luck with the purchase if you get it.

Make him a lower offer and try to get it just a little cheaper. It is worth it if you were using it. You would need to get it a little cheaper if you wanted to make a little money. I would estimate it at 300-400.

If you're going to keep it around a while and get some use from it, I'd say go for it. If he won't budge on price and you're only trying to turn a profit, I would suggest putting that $300 elsewhere.

I picked up two runners that had been gone through for $500. I felt it was a good price. Seeing the kids rip around on these things ALL DAY and needing to pry them off of them when it's time to come inside makes them worth much more than that $500 bones we shelled out for them.

Last year I bought this one for $50, put another $100 or so in it (stickers, tubes, air filter) and a few hours labor and sold it for $500. So, $300 is in the range...

That's sucks. There are good ones out there at reasonable prices. Don't give up!
