Honda plastic VS Maier plastic

Hey guys I have a Honda 1986 ATC 250r with original plastic and the rear fenders are nice and tight, my buddy however has an 85 with Maier plastic and its super loose, it moves up and down side to side very easily, there is no brace under it like on my plastic, my question is can his fender accept a stock rear brace or did Maier use some sort of other brace, either was I know his is just not right, thanks again

The old maiers were kind of just slightly better than nothing... All the modern maier fenders I have used (SX, 250ES, 350X) were pretty good and used the factory brackets...

You should be able to utilize a stock brace.

The maier fenders when bought new come with two L brackets you drill holes to run the brace.
