I'm putting together my top end for my 200x... Just wondering what the purpose of this plug is..

I'm pretty sure I lost mine so I need to order a new one.

The thought of putting it together without it did cross my mind, but, following the shop manual, its pretty explicit about NOT doing that. :D

Helps plug the whole Honda drilled to allow oil to flow to the cam and rockers. It is required.

Like Mike said, plugs a drilled passageway that brings oil to the cam. Without it you have a huge loss of oil to the cam bearing, and lower oil pressure in the bottom end as well. I wonder how easy is is to tap the head and replace it with a tiny allen-head set screw? I may try it on my current 200X build.
