85 Tecate shifter...

Like many of your bikes, my shift shaft is striped and the shifter is welded on. I don't want to pay over $100 for a new shifter from Kawasaki so I'm looking for an aftermarket one. Does anyone know of an aftermarket shifter that will fit?

i had a problem with my shifter pedal too. i fixed it by taking it off and shaving out a portion of it where the pieces pinch together. put it back together and viola, no more wobbley shifter pedal.
