Yup, finally, the ole 200e yammie lives. it sat for over 12 years under the eve of a house and in a dusty barn. Last May i brought it home, and cleaned the carb. over the summer, i bought parts, and tore it apart. toward the end of summer, I contacted Howdy, for the cylinder, (thanks!) finally ordered the last parts a couple weeks ago, and got the final seal yesterday. I Started putting it together last night, and finished this morning. put some gas in it, let it sit for 5 min. On the first pull, she fired right up! I was so relieved, all that hard work wasn't wasted. well, i broke it in according to the harder driving way, and am finishing the break in.

Damn, I wish I had you're luck. I would have literally had a heart attack if that happened to me. In fact, I have been let down so many times by all the machines I have owned, that I don't even expect it to start up and run right when I fix it, I just try to start it to see what else is wrong!
Hey plk, how did that method of breaking in work for you? Sure is a lot quicker than what the book says!

ill get some pics tmrw, i lent my digi cam out for a week, gettin it back tmrw. well, my luck wasn't the greatest today. it happened to be running REALLY lean, and it got extremely hot and then it seized. once it cooled, i richened it a bit, and it turned over. another hour into riding, i hear this wretched squel from the top end. It is a deathily ear piercing screech, that i shut it off. well, the top end got a bit dry, lol, oil port got plugged with years of goo. i changed the oil, and let all the plugs and trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro drain out. i put new oil in, and ran it around for a couple more hours, no more problems. I just got a battery for it, but found that it has no bulb for the headlight, and the rear light is burnt out. Still need another tire, wont hold air for over 5 minutes, it sat flat, and got a nice crack in the sidewall. I had to tear the engine back apart 3 times do to missing o rings and gaskets, but i don't think i did to bad of a job for being 14. :-D

I dont know how much i hurt it with that heat, and that screeching, but i hope it should last, btw, the hard breakin is working great. it is pulling out more power than what the engine had new. It helps the process go so much faster, and the compression is incredible for that machine. Im still running on a 12 year old ngk plug, but it runs like a champ. Ill show some pics of the old cylinder tmrw, and all the centimeter deep rust pits. ttyl, ill update soon!

well, it held togethor for a day with minimal problems, except that i had to refill the gas. I think the machine has settled out finally. It has butt loads of power, and can keep up with my neighbor's 225 if you keep it in the higher rpm's. Its close to my modded 225, but can't keep up with the extra punch it has. Im glad it turned out this way. Having fun so far!
