So i've been using my 85 250es a lot this week, trails nothing too major except the times when theirs a mud puddle. None the less, all was good. Today I went to take a ride after I installed my EXHAUST snorkel and realized she was leaking gas from the overflow.. The bike runs and starts great, never bogs out nor stalls.. I thought it could be the float sticking or anything like that but woudn'lt the bike run like crap if it was? It leaks while running or when it's not, i'll take it apart but if anybody has an idea what could be the issue.

not really, I have seen carbs do that with yes stuck needle and still run fine. take it apart and use a rebuild kit on it to clean it up.

Sometimes the float valve will get cockeyed in the hole. Try tapping the bowl with a screwdriver or shake the trike real good. Very common for those carbs.

If you decide on rebuilding the carb, here is my tutorial on rebuilding them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/85-86-ATC-250R-350X-Honda-OEM-Front-Fender-Hardware-Bolts-Rubber-Grommets-Washer-/221757947454?fits=Model%3AATC250R&hash=item33a1cdbe3e&vxp=mtr

I have had issues with the clark tanks on two of my honda's, they act like they are getting too much gravity. Also I would look into the carb float needle and see if there is something blocking it from closing or if the is a indented rig on the rubber tip, which is a sing of excessive wear.
