Anyone else saw it yet? Thoughts? It was a little more "creative" than I had anticipated I think, but the cars and vehicles were super coool....

Watched the original from something like 1979 for the first time a year or so ago.. ;) I thought it was actually pretty good in an apocalyptic Smokey and The Bandit sort of way...

Only seen a couple previews for the new one..from what I saw it looked pretty good.

have seen it twice, grandson then the wife....thought it was pretty good. Remember its only for entertainment. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. As a duner person my wife hates me as I critic certain scenes "like you never stop a vehicle going up hill in the sand"..... go see it!

Why do they remake good movies? i don't get it. Mad Max and The Road Warrior are AWESOME flicks. Thunder dome is pretty good also. i can't see remaking any of em. is the new one a remake, prequel, sequel, equal ????

It's not a remake, it doesn't have much of a story, it's purely entertainment.

A guy came and controls all the water, in the post apocalyptic wasteland water is life. So they take the best vehicle on a mission for gasoline which is the next most precious commodity there and sneak off all the breeders (like 5 women) and the leader of the mission and the driver ( another woman) to go back where she was born (the green land) to live happily ever after. Well of course the guy that controls the water is like nah, I want my bitches back. So it turns into a big car chase basically.

The cars are the coolest thing. A lot of vintage cars and trucks turned into death dune runners. I took my girlfriend to the drive ins to see it, she wasn't too thrilled lol.

I have not seen it yet but want to watch it soon. I had to go rent The Road Warrior after watching the new Mad Max previews. I have not watched that movie since the 80's it brings back memories.

Anyone sneaking off with your bitches is asking for trouble lol

Probably going to see it this weekend. I'm a big Mad Max fan. I heard from a friend that, as it has been stated here, that there is no real storyline to it, but, I'll still see if for the cool factor. I remember reading about five years ago that Mel Gibson was supposed to be making a sequel to the Thunder Dome, but funding in South Africa fell through. Always thought that it would be great if they brought if full circle for Max...

has nothing to do with the originals really and as an action movie its the most intense I've ever seen. I was exhausted at the end of it!!!!

I think its part four of the Mad Max stories.Cable TV has been showing the other three for the past month on different channels. They have also been showing the first three Jurrasic Park movies alot.I love the action of the first three Mad Max movies no computer generated stuff there just stunt men and woman doing there work.

I highly recommend seeing it in 3D!!! Simple plot, but GREAT action scenes! There are some stupid things (like the heavy metal guitar truck), and some obvious holes in the story...but overall it's highly entertaining and worth 2 hours of your time.
