1987 350X but why did they cut it?

Why'd you think its an 87? It says 86. The only thing I could think of is I had a 73 Yamaha Dirt bike, that was MX Raced. For some reason It had the bottom of the frame cut out just like that trike frame does. Maybe this was a MX trike, they did the same thing too?

well at frist i just looked at the pic and it was cut so i figured 87 they cut the frames i know it its a 86 but thought 87 b/c its cut like that

Yea, I think all they did is cut the goose neck off on the ones they scrapped....

Maybe it was cut to lengthen the frame for a larger motor but they never finished it. Just my guess.

the 87s were cut different then that. That looks like someone tried, or had a larger motor in it, and needed to make room. That is no Honda cut though.
