The E start worked when I test drove the bike then 2 weeks afterwards when I start it it buzzes the lights work but the motor doesnt crank over. Checked ground clean, I jump started it off the battery from my riding mower. Question is wh216750216751y would the lights work but the motor wont crank over ? The lights are bright and not dim, what battery would you recommend ? Yuasa ?

It takes less power to light a bulb than to crank the starter. Did it start by itself after you rode it around post-jump start?

Nope just clicks and sometimes buzzes. Previous owner says the battery is 2 years old. When I trickle charged it, it charged right up real quick,,,,weird

Yep, needs a new battery. Does it have the fill port on top of the battery where you add the acid? I have been using a sealed duralast gold on all of my machines. I haven't had any problems yet. After buying many of the cheaper batteries and them failing I decided to go with one of these. Very satisfied with the results.

.
i would do the following:
if the fluid level is low, fill it to the lower level with distilled water.
charge it.
buy a hydrometer/battery acid tester and check it . . if any of the balls don't rise up, it is weak.
put the bike in a fairly dark place . . with the key off, remove the positive wire and and just touch it to the positive post on the battery a few times and look for any spark . . there should be none.
reconnect the cable.
connect a volt meter to it and note the voltage.
start the bike and check the voltage.
open the throttle around 1/3rd way and note the voltage.
if the voltage has increased less than around 1/2 volt. the charging system may be faulty.

.
a yuasa used to be a good battery . . i don't know about now . . be wary of clones or rebuilt ones.
you can also buy a lithium battery with a 3 year warranty for around $110.00 . . i wouldn't buy the 8 cell

i would disconnect a battery and trickle charge it periodically if it was going to sit for s month or more without use.
hydrometer
