So my buddy was over today, drooling over my newest addition. We were talking about him buying my 85 200x with a 86 motor when an idea hit me like a freight train. I grabbing the motor and ran over to my 350x frame. And we discovered with a few custom brakets, the motor would sit in the 350 frame fine. So basically, cross breed the 2, and make I one of a kind machine. Give it a classic racer feel. Sure I'll get some heat for this, but it's a hobby amirite?

.
why would one want to put a 200 engine in a 350 bike?

Go for it if you want, but I personally liked the small size of the 200X with that small of engine.

Because we're nuts, don't have much money and we have the parts laying around

I have a basket case engine for it with issues, buts it's been designated to repairing my other 350x. And I might eventually rebuild it for this machine. This is basically a summer boredom project. But I'll keep you in mind if I decide to sell.

The way I figure, we're young a don't weigh a whole lot. (Bout 150) so that'll make up for the extra weight of the 350x frame. And if we gear it right, we should be able to make it up. And this is a second gen 200 motor someone fit in a first gen, destoyed the frame making it fit. And it didn't work out well in the end.

Go for it!, I am a motocrosser at heart, so diving under a 250r Mickey Dunlap style is what I think about when I here "200X"

There should be plenty of room the 350X engine is huge!

Yeah, you could put a XR600/XR650 in there with a little work.

The 350X engine is huge.

I would go for it.You would have a good start on a better 200x mx racer.Im working on putting a 200x motor in a liquid R frame alot of fab has to be done for me.I have a 350x frame I put my mockup motor in it and it looks to be a easy swap.

I don't even remember when I was 150 but it had to be middle school and I know I was 6+ inches shorter.

I barely remember 250...
