200es rear diff &lb weld

i have to rebuild the rear diff for the 3 rd time in 2 years on my 200es.i believe the pitting from rust is causing my seals to leak.is it possible to fill the pits with jb weld and wipe away the access.looking for some thoughts on how to fix it.

google "Flame spray" and see if anyone near you does this. I had a very rusty internal engine part done locally. The part came back in very good condition. The seal race that had bad pits was as good if not better than new.
