I was looking to get a new set of knobbies to replace the one's on the rear of our 125M. It appears that the tire shapes vary slightly within the same size. The Carlisle 22-11-8 on the front is a fatter knobby tire where the old cheng shins on the back are more tall and narrow in the same size. Just looking for a basic knobby.

Has anyone ever tried these Wanda knobby tires? http://www.amazon.com/WANDA-Tires-22X11-8-Dimple-Knobby/dp/B00KNM29JK/ref=sr_1_17?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1436698774&sr=1-17&keywords=22+11+8+tire&pebp=1436699522383&perid=0KJVG5DFD4PGEH0758MX

On Amazon;

The Cheng Shin knobby is about $111 for 2 shipped.
The Wanda knobby is about $118 for 2 shipped.
The Duro knobby is about $125 for 2 shipped.
The Carlisle knobby is about $147 for 2 shipped.

The Cheng Shins seem to be decent, they are tall and narrow. I saw in another thread where someone mentioned the Duro Knobby was fatter with less sidewall flex than than the Cheng Shins. Not as smooth a ride. Carlisles are fatter like the Duro.

Maybe not a big difference in all these 2 ply knobbies. Not big enough to spend much time pondering anyway. Just had not seen much on the Wanda knobby tires.

I work with tires for my job and I can verify the cheng shin knobby is tall and narrow. My specs list it at 22.4 inches tall and 9.0" wide on a 9" wide wheel. However I have mounted them on standard 8x7 golf cart wheels no problem and the sidewalls are still pretty straight. Almost all imported tires run tall and narrow in a 22x11-8 size. This is true to kenda scorpions, duro knobby, cheng shin knobby, innova knobby gear, nano dimpled knobby. Carlisle knobby comes in at 22.2" tall and 10.4" wide on a 9" wide wheel. The wanda is about 22.0 and 10.8" wide so it is very close to printed size. In my opinion, here are my front tire choices:

Best 22x11-8 front tire: kenda k-284
Best heavy duty front tire 22x11-8: nano bushwhacker
Best cheap 22x11-8 front tire: Deestone D929 knobby

Anything 22x11, 12,12.5x8 will fir on stock 8 inch rear rims

This is my opinion. Let me know if you have any further questions

Duro and wanda knobbies are very similar in price and design. So I would go with wandas on the back, duros or Kendas on the front.

I thought the 125M had a 8" front wheel not an 11" front wheel.

I would go with something like the wooly copy/duro hf243. Proven time tested design. Great all around tire with more traction thank a knobby tire. Remember, a knobby tire will "gum up" and turn into a meatball in muddy situations. I assume you do have some mud where you live...thats why I recommend the mud/sand tread. They are easily found in 22x11-8, stock size on a 125M.
