As someone with an elderly father (84 now) involved in both the VA, and the Social Security administration (Of which he paid into his entire life, which he'll never see an equal amount back out I'm sure...) this is terrifying.
Excerpt;
If a veteran is deemed incapable of managing his or her own finances, the VA sends his or her information to the FBI to be automatically added to the criminal background check system. For some injured veterans, their incompetence was determined merely because they signed up for auto-pay on their debit cards, because their wife gives them financial advice, or because they asked for an in-house assistant to help with chores. The VA sends this list to the FBI every month. At last count, there were more than 120,000 veterans in the government’s background check system.
So when the nurse does her quarterly questioning while she takes blood pressure while you wait on the doctor, you get asked these things. I've heard the financial advice one before. We almost signed up for the driving credit reimbursement for appointments (brought the forms home a couple times actually) one time.
Please take the time to read and understand what is going on with this, try and explain it to your elders you are close with and make sure they understand the magnitude and gravity of the situation with these "programs". Its pretty scary times we're living in...

Yeah i`d like to know why you need a lawyer to claim SS or disability now ?
Maybe because of all the FSA scammers trying to get free money?
NYPD and NYFD Fraud by those "involved" with 9/11: I think it's worthy to note that FD and PD employees belong to Unions that HEAVILY support Democrat candidates

Fraud and Disability. Nice increase in the number of individuals on disability since Obama was elected. So much for that so-called low unemployment. Why work when you can cheat the taxpayers out of their hard earned money. Nice list of "ailments" that can be claimed:

Thanks for posting this Billy!!

Not a doctor so I won't make a determination on whether people on ssdi are automatically unqualified to own guns, but the fact that if you answer to a nurse during a usual va appointment that a wife or family member helps you with things, that you get reimbursements on a debit card, menial things like this, in house assistsnce (like when your arthrits is so bad you cant hardly do it yourself as an example ) it's just dumbfounding.
This administration is no longer hiding the fact that they are intentionally trying to make certain demographic Americans lives hell. It's crazy.

I guess the government feels if you ask for some in-house assistance you naturally want to purchase a firearm and rob a 7-11.
However this is a natural progression of incrementalism in removing firearms from society. It's not even hard to believe.

^^^ " You have to make a value judgement " .....was one of the quotes ..... Judge , jury , conviction ? WTF ? Who died and made them god ? This is our money that we gave them ! I don`t want anything thats not mine ! I`ve already decided that THEY are not competent enough to handle my money , my guns , my Vagina !! ! !! Why don`t we just go to work for Vladimir Putin ? Oh one other thing .......Abolish the Federal Reserve before we declare bankruptcy like Greece and their military take over !
What does this:
" You have to make a value judgement " Have to do with this:
Judge , jury , conviction ?
A little clarification please? Thanks!

Mass shootings represent ONE percent of ALL firearm murders in this country every year. It isn't interesting news copy when six different gang punks kill 35 ppl in Chicago in one weekend. One white loser shoots 7 ppl or a wannabe Muhammed kills four people at a recruiting office and they have all of you thinking the world has come off the rails on 24-7 news cycle.... remember the context before you believe the hype.
Mass shootings have ALWAYS been about ATTENTION and nothing more. We have mass shootings because the Media wants and feeds on tragedy and they'll trade you Fifteen Minutes for your murderous deeds. Media is why we have mass shootings.
Back off that dirt road to say this....
This is all the logical end result of Socialism. Nothing is ever free. Whether it costs you physical monies or just the expectation of obedience and loyalty, either way, you become a DEPENDENT and a dependent is a feel-good term for slave. Social Security was Americas first foray into Socialism and our forefathers were asleep at the wheel when it was created or they would have run away screaming had the common man been a little more economically savvy as to understand that it all is unsustainable in the long term.
Funny thing about Socialism and its policies (like Social Security) is that they end up NEVER being voluntary. Has anyone asked any of you if you WANT to trust the government with a huge chunk of your check every week? Nope. Shouldn't Socialism, being "inherently good", be voluntary because all humans have basic individual rights and freedoms (as Socialists and Humanists like to argue)? So why is Socialism never voluntary? Because it doesn't work but in order for the Powerful to prop up the illusion of Socialist successes, everyone must be forced to play. It can't survive without complete obedience to an ideology despite Reality.
Knappyfeet hit the nail square. This is just another example on incrementalism being adopted to snatch gun rights. What makes me SO MAD is that this incrementalism has been happening since 1930 something and a lot of "gun lovers" have stood idly by and let it happen because "that won't affect me and my guns"
I will NEVER rejoin the NRA out of principle. During the early nineties when shotgun and pistol enthusiasts let black rifle owners get thrown under the bus and sold out by the NRA who SUPPORTED the AWB.....screw them.
Funny how so many of those shotgun and pistol enthusiasts now understand the value of unity and they now can't ignore that gun legislation is always a means to an end and that end being the total ban on firearms.
They are targeting the type of guns and mags they are most threatened by...."assault" rifles and hicap mags. They target the demographic that they are most threatened by.....trained soldiers who could mount the most serious rebellion and the older, more patriotic Americans who support a return to Founding Principles.....veterans and older generation Americans from the "old school"
Its no secret really. All the people now being treated for depression, anxiety, etc are now ineligible to own or possesses firearms with the matter of one phone call to the ATF or FBI.
returning Vets with PTSD are considered ineligible....hell, half this country is on Prozac. Who knew that Frued would create the means to ultimately disarm an entire populace using psychotherapy methods as an excuse to label anyone as a potential problem.
The real irony here is that the people who rabidly support this "progressivism" suffer from a pathological altruism and are, therefore, more mentally ill than the target of their pointed Finger of Accusation.
We also need to start learning to be more self sufficient and stop expecting Washington's lies and pipe dreams to pay off in the long run
These are my opinions and do not reflect the opinions of the staff of 3WW and its subsidiaries.

^^^ NO ......this thread is about SS turning your info over to ATF and confiscating your guns and while they`re at it they mite as well take whats left of your bank account too ! I`ll tell what doesn`t help the guntards is.... people going around chooting up movie theaters !!! ......it kinda leaves a bad taste in our mouths you know ! Today a person is only worth or valued by what his or her FICO score is ! Choot`em up bang bang !
You make a statement but don't want to clarify? If your statement was about the topic of this thread, why won't you explain your comment?
We don't need you to explain about why mass shootings suck. It doesn't matter where they happen.
You know what doesn't help all the anti-guntards? Your lack of simple common sense. ALL THE MASS SHOOTINGS TAKE PLACE IN GUN-FREE ZONES. How the hell is that workin out for everyone? Time and time again.
You know what the second thing is? The failure to acknowledge and DO SOMETHING ABOUT the fact that a very large majority of mass shooters had mental issues and showed signs of going off the deep end shortly before they killed.
Anti-gunners: Proving Einstein's definition of insanity one (or many) senseless death(s) at a time.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein
But then, the same people against guns thought that Obama would do an even better job the second time around............banning guns AND running the country
ETA: Caps and bold for emphasis not anger. ;)
ETA 2: edited to give glamy the benefit of the doubt that he's not anti-gun. ;)

I'm pretty sure Glamy is the complete opposite of anti-gun and I'll bet he has the closet to prove it.
On another note, Billy have you looked into a firearms trust? Its apparently the hot new legal way to protect your gun collection from Federal Grabbers so that your kids may inherit your guns without trouble. I've heard a lot of buzz around this since it had been repeatedly suggested by the Anti's that the Gov should confiscate the guns of dead ppl because they obviously no longer need them and therefore they were a menace and possible safety hazard....more incrementslism.
A lot of other folks just give most of their stuff away to family now so there is no surprises in the near future.
Banning things is so F$%#ing ignorant at this point that one would have to have the mental fortitude of a toddler to believe in such a notion after repeated and blindingly obvious failures in the near past whereas banning ANYTHING was concerned....seriously, ppl should be ashamed to even think of this as a solution.
Never mind that two teenage brothers overpowered and killed five people in their household with a knife last week. Tell me again how this MASS KILLING could have been prevented by more gun laws....oh yeah, its not worthy of being hailed as a mass killing because it wasn't committed with a handgun.....you know how dangerous handguns are and how they are used in 92% of all gun murders....and that's exactly why we must ban assault RIFLES and thirty round AR 'clips' so that yet another asshat doesn't shoot up a theater with a Glock 19 handgun or chop up his family with a kitchen knife.
Bin Laden blew up the towers and is hiding in Afghanistan. We obviously must attack Iraq!
I mean just look at how many examples there are of complete and total ignorance and apathy on the part of a very large body of people in this country who fancy themselves as deserving of freedom but are incapable of handling the RESPONSIBILITY of being Free and that means being informed, educated, focused, and suspicious of anyone who claims to know what YOUR best interests are....those folks would all rather read facecrook, masturbate, and daydream about being the next Twitter sensation.
These people should be wearing helmets out in public. It doesn't get any more insane than that.
I'm serious. Belize is starting to look more attractive by the minute these days.

The Supreme court decided A LONG time ago that the Police have no duty to protect citizens. Never mind the fact that when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
Totally agree, just added a little something else to your statement. Hope you don't mind ;)
Billy,
If you decide to go the firearms trust route, make sure you talk to a lawyer experienced in Firearm Trusts. A lot of plain ole vanilla lawyers are trying to jump on the gun trust bandwagon. ;)

I couldn't agree with this more. This is exactly what America needs. However this might be a long ago pipe dream. In fact Washington consistently is making more folks dependant of the government and less self sufficient. As it stands now us "self sufficient " are among the minority.....and it's only getting worse.....much worse. Consistently making Americans look toward the government for nearly everthing.
Unfortunately I believe it's going to take a near nationwide catastrophe.....probably economic....to ever turn the ship of dependence and no self reliance around.

Its funny you say that - I have been reading and watching a lot of south american ride reports on ADVrider.com, and for the life of me, out of all the ones I've read, I can't seem to find anything nearly as bad about the places as you would think.

There are quite a few American ex-pats living in Central and south America. My dad had buddies in Panama and Costa Rica but of course your well being in any Latin country is directly proportional to its political climate. Belize seems to be pretty stable politically speaking.
