ive decided not to wait on the 200x resto. I am doing it side by side with my 85 250R resto and a full mod 87 TRX250R now that the 86 250R is finished. THis 200x was a one owner machine complete with original Certificate of Origin and had original fenders on it. The rear fenders were in one piece, but stitched and the front is OK. I hope that I can breath life back into the front. I have all ready sourced a very nice set of OEM rear fenders so that was one huge hurdle accomplished. Fork boots will be the other major hurdle. I would imagine that parts for this one will challenge me a bit. The machine has been stripped and the frame is off to PC. That is all that has been done right now. Im letting my son work on this one with me. Hopefully I can inspire him to love these three wheelers like I do. I told him to come to the shop for a history lesson. As he pulled it apart, he learned the history of the three wheelers. When I told him a lady named Barbara Walters (20/20 show) did a special on the dangers of these things, she put a three wheeler on a steep hill and said "look how easy they tip" and pushed it over and watcheched it roll down a hill, he said "thats not fair. They do that at Daytona every year at the race track to show the banking and the race cars are not banned". Smart kid, but I see a physics lesson is next!

Anyway, check out my other thread for the 85 250R too.

Looks good. Parts are not that hard to find but the NOS stuff is expensive. Very nice trike to own. Solid frame and just easy to work on in general. Kinda user friendly. Good luck...

I just got finished with my recommission so if you find those fork boots please let me know. Here's an old 60 minute video that's pretty interesting.

Nice 200x....Couldn't help but notice who is the snowmobile racer and what is the brand of sled that won all those trophies?

I was wondering what figure was on top of those trophies.

That racer would be me. I raced 1000' speed runs back in 1989-97. Set three world speed records with a 600cc Ski-Doo engine in a custom chassis.219482219483
