New here and hope someone can help. Have 86 fat cat. Can't find a replacement needle jet anywhere. Excuse my ignorance but the part is the the needle that goes down the throat of the carb attachedto the slide. Anyone know where i can find this part? Thanks in advance....

Thanks for the reply oldskool. Ok, here's my next issue with this nightmare. I called every dealer and supply houses on this earth. No one i spoke to sells a rebuild kit. I probably made a huge mistake buying a knockoff but im guessing the needle doesn't come with that carb either. If anyone has an opinion on the knockoff i would greatly appreciate it. I can still return it. Anyway, would you have a specific site i can go to trying to find that part? Everyone i spoke with says the needle has been discontinued. .thank you.

the 86 and 87 fat car are prob the same as 86 87 200x...i say this because if you look at factory part numbers on the carb gaskets they are 100% the same so why wouldnt everything else be the same?

The carbs are smaller on the 200 fat cat but it's worth a try and I would replace the needle and needle seat as a matched set :)

Unfortunately, the 200x has the identical needle. Bummer. I will keep searching. Im guessing looking for a scrap carb somewhere may be my only option. .thanks again

Also try a honda 200sx quad it may have the same carb.

I would get a carb that is about the same size and relatively easy to find parts for and just go from there. You can always re-jet and adjust from there.
